High Output T5’s are better to use in your aquarium lighting than the regular T8 as they have increased water penetration and are more efficient. You don’t lose the illumination at the bottom of the deeper tanks.
With this lighting you are not restricted as much to the content of your aquarium, stock levels can be increased without the worry of inadequate levels of light.
The greater intensity, deeper penetration and Higher output allows you to stock your tank with a wide range of soft corals and allow them to flourish which was not possible with T8 Fluorescents.

With the combined properties of a full spectrum tube, but the higher concentration of blue and red peaks, this unique violet-hued spectrum is used to enhance the purples, pinks and reds in your tank.
A popular choice of tube to use in combination with the iQuatics Blue Plus and the Aquablue 50:50 fluorescents.
The iQuatics Purple contains a higher concentration between 400-500nm (Blue Plus) peaking at 420nm (Actinic fluorescence) and 600-650, peaking at 620nm (red) thus enhancing the colouration of your corals. Similar to the spectrums of the KZ Fiji Purple and ATI Purple Plus.

2014 for purple
I thought I would try the new purple bulbs for my setup and I must say the price you defiantly get a great bulb at great value. A great hybrid bulb and as good as the more expensive options.

First batch despatched, but arrived broken. Sent an email , was asked to submit some photographs of the broken bulbs, received my new delivery by express delivery the next day. Fantastic service. Bulbs give a slight pink tint, works well with Blue Plus and Aqua Blue 50:50
